Ok...so yesterday my friend (who shall remain nameless, but her name rhymes with racie...and begins with the letter T.......ha..ha) and I got the bright idea to take some of our clothes to a consignment shop. The shop is called The Clothesline (it is a very well put together shop with alot of nice brand name stuff)...and this consignment shop pays money right then and there for the clothes that you bring in. So we went and had lunch and we were just gitty talking about HOW MUCH $$$ we were going to get for our clothes!
So we get to the consignment shop and get ALL of the clothes (which was brand name stuff) out of her car. We went bee-boping into the store and put ALL of the clothes on the counter for the lady to sort through.
Then our shining moment came...she called our names...and we walked back to the counter to find out just how much $$$ we were going to get.
She gave me a grand total of $8.47! She said that there was only 2 things that she could use. That they only buy UP TO DATE stuff!!!! She could only use 1 of my friends!
What???!!!!! What was she talking about??!!! I have worn SOME of the stuff that I took in there within the last month!!!! Man, you talk about a slap in the face.....ha..ha..ha...
She doesn't realize what FASHIONISTAS we are!!!!!
So we get ALL of the "out of date" clothes that we brought....and carry them back out to the car.
I have never had a walk of shame or felt such rejection before until that very moment!!!!! ha..ha..ha..
We laughed our heads off about it all the way home!!!!
We may not have gotten much $$$, but we sure got a good quality bust your gut, gasping for air, laugh!!!
Ok...you may not see the humor in this story...as much as we did. It may be one of those "You had to be there" instances. But, I'm still laughing about it!
Then I told Michael our funny story and he called my friend and gave her a hard time about it. That made it even funnier!! ha....ha....ha...
Oh....and by the way....of course we aren't going to take our GOOD stuff!
What's the point of doing that???!!!!!

OK.. that was QUITE funny!!!! I never did like consignment shops.. they only want the "BEST".. umm yeah is if I'm going to hand over my BEST clothes and just where the iffy's that don't interest me!!!eye roll... LOL LOL LOL
That is a funny story! The *best* is all a matter of opinion, isn't it! Glad you had a friend there to laugh about it with you...friends make times like that so much "lighter"!

We have a child's consignment shop here that is so snotty about what you bring in! They only take things at certain times and they will find exception to this and that and blah blah blah...GO PUT YOUR STUFF ON CRAIGLIST!!! That works well!
